FOR SALE
After its
three-years-long restoration, that was both time-consuming and, needless
to say, quite expensive, '403-1404' is now finished and everything that
has been renewed, rebuilt or simply made up from scratch is very good.
The tune-up process will go on for some time but in the last few months,
for several reasons, I've changed my mind about it. Time constraints and
a quite busy professional schedule mean that for me it will probably be
quite hard to keep such a complex old car on the road in the only style
that I find acceptable-i.e., it must go perfectly without hiccups, must
look always good, be ready to start on the button at every time, and so
on. All these requisites are perfectly fulfilled by the mighty 409 so
the 403 is probably surplus to our needs regard the possible/desirable
uses of a classic car, at least in our household. For this reason,
403-1404 is now being offered for sale before being auctioned in
September or October by one of the most important classic-cars auction
houses. POA, of course, but anyone is welcome to ask. Please click on
