The vent ducts under the dashboard of my 409  were not in a very good condition. It doesn't matter really how this piece looks, but I wanted to know that it looked nice even if nobody will ever see it. So this is how it looked before the restoration.....

Now, if I could fathom how the ventilation knob works.....!
