Bristol 409-The Carter 3131 carburettor

July 30th, 2010. At long last, I found a NOS complete Carter 3131S. It will be recommissioned to take the place of my 409's 3249, nice but a bit worn out...

The carb is a bit dusty, like if it spent its life on a shelf. It needs some work, but its leverages are quite 'tight'. I'm sure that Marco Gordini will make this carb 'as new'

The number stamped on its base is reassuring, as the 3131S is the standard carburettor for the Bristol 409. There are not so many differences with a 3249, though
