Quite tired: the Kenlowe fans had had a hard life. Pictures taken before refurbishment

 


The result of careful cleaning, regreasing, restoring, repainting of the Kenlowe fans.
Mr Marelli found me a new working Otter switch, and now the fans work but they are probably not efficient enough to keep the 318 cool in today's traffic

In June 2011, seeing that the engine temperature was not adequately controlled by the twin Kenlowes, we fitted a single 'pusher' 14" fan that allows us to have a safe trip to Goodwood and back

Still, I wasn't happy as the temperature creeped up over 100°C in some long traffic queues around Milan and Luzern, so we fitted a Bosch 'puller' fan with its original shroud and the problems were over at last
