My new Kymco (6 November 2018)

Why did I chose to buy a Kymco and not the fashionable, universally loved and undoubtedly excellent Honda SH 150? There are several reasons, some of them quite obvious. The first is the price difference: a 2018 Honda SH 150 costs 4,000 Euros, the Kymco 3,200. It's nearly 800 Euros less, and that's a very good starting point. The second is, the SHs are the most frequently stolen motorcycles/scooters in Italy, so why live with the constant anguish of yours disappearing? The third: I have the utmost respect for what South Koreans and Taiwanese industry has done in the past, developing excellent products with bulletproof reliability, ease of use, cheap maintenance and excellent overall useability, so I trust them to deliver. I've never been disappointed by their quality/price ratio. The fourth: the main weak point of the products of those huge industries was the styling, once quite messy. Now this has been improved no end and you just have to take a look at this People S to understand the progress made also in this direction. Mine, in matt silver with red leather saddle (the same color combination of my 1953 Bristol 403...) looks simply gorgeous. This is a handsome scooter!

After more than one year of use, the People S deserved a service, that was peromed in a few hours, thanks to the efficient organization of the Kymco service in Bologna. They also fixed a light but annoying vibration coming from the rear trunk... everything is OK now
