The 'Lallement' is
today very probably the best restaurant in France, a solid three-stars
in Michelin's strict hyerarchy and therefore a great place to visit
after a couple of days in Blenheim Palace after 'Salon Privé'. We had
the good luck to stop in its renowned hotel, 'L'Assiette Champenoise',
because we had been there several years ago during a Porsche Club
meeting and we had fond memories of the hotel and of its restaurant. Now
mr Lallement has improved it immensely and he showed his charm
accommodating us even if the restaurant was completely booked. His foie
gras was nothing short of superlative, and also the Martini that I asked
for before dinner, served in the garden behind the hotel, was very good
indeed
