Forget the old establishment made famous by Ernst Hemingway and thus
chock-full of American tourists every day of the year; its Martini is
far from acceptable, anyway. For a real treat you just have to walk a
few yards out of San Marco square and find the Restaurant ‘Do Forni’.
It’s a classic Venetian restaurant where you will find more locals than
foreigners; its bar is small but extremely well-furnished, with
oak-panelled walls and red
