Unfortunately, the picture of the bar shows one of the least attractive corners of this grand old establishment, one where it was customary, for old-school motoring journalists, to gather the evening before the Press Day of the Geneva Auto Show. Times have changed but the fascination of this splendid hotel is still there; the Martini is good enough to keep the tradition alive, though not exactly worth the journey from Italy
