E' stata la moto dei sogni per un paio di generazioni di motociclisti, e la mia 'vintage' preferita. Quella che ho restaurato nel 1983, e che ho tenuto fino al 1989, l'ho fotografata per questo articolo che ho scritto per 'Le Grandi Automobili' n. 9, Autunno 1984. Questo č lo scanning dell'articolo.

Bellissima la Bonnie, ma un po' 'civilizzata' nell'edizione 2014. Ci vuole un po' pių di musica, che diamine! Se gli utenti Harley possono mettere scarichi rumorosissimi senza che nessuno batta ciglio, perchč negarci questo piacere? Ecco quindi cho ho montato gli scarichi TOR originali Triumph, solo un po' pių.... 'musicali' |

Belli, compatti, con lo stampaggio che avverte che questi scarichi NON sono adatti all'uso stradale, i TOR sono un piccolo piacevole feticcio. Poi diciamolo, non sono cosė tanto invasivi..... |

The damned COVID pandemic made us shut down for a full year, so I could find the time and opportunity to take the Bonnie out of its garage only in March, 2021. The gel battery was flat and it took a special recharger to put it back into service; then I noticed that after 14 years of very scarce use the Metzeler tires were cracking so a new set was needed. Upon advice of a real connoisseur, I took the Bonnie to Paolo Evangelisti's TTBike shop in Bologna, where it is in very good company |

I picked up the Bonnie after the service at TT Bikes, managed by young enthusiastic Paolo Evangelisti (and recommended by great connoissur Lorenzo Matteucci). Paolo did an absolutely splendid job |

After a thorough discussion about what to fit to replace my ageing Metzelers we opted for a set of Dunlop Arrowmax StreetSmart. I'm happy to have British tires my British bike once again, and bikers speak highly of those Dunlops in Triumph Forums |

The cleaning performed by Paolo on the whole bike, rims and hubs included, made the Bonnie look like new once again |

Frankly, the Bonnie was not dirty, she had never put her tires in a puddle in 14 years, but some parts were a bit dusty and oliy, now they're squeaky-clean |
