BRISTOL 401-403 scrapbook |
Looking for parts and help for the restoration
of my 403 I found many nice pictures that I would like to share with
fellow Bristol enthusiasts
A new 401 in Portugal. It must have been a very nice family
Bristol 403 and Bristol helicopter, a classic pairing for
interesting shots |
A nice cutaway drawing
Another classic pairing: a Bristol 403 being loaded on a Bristol
Freighter for the Channel crossing. Travelling this way had real style
On a bridge, presumably in Bristol
A 401 in front of the mighty but doomed Brabazon |
01/01/1954: a 403 with one-piece windscreen as ordered by (or
modified by?) the Folland Aircraft Company. They had good ties with
Bristol, having built parts of the Beaufighters and Beaufort bombers
during the war
A nice pic of two Portoguese gentlemen racing a 403
Bristol Pegasus House, circa 1938
Another elegant family with a 401, this time clearly in England |
A very nice watercolor: Bristol Aerodyne Christmas card reveals the
type of house of the typical Bristol 403 owner in 1953
A 403 is very nice in blue as well; dark colours enhance the
contrast with brighwork and badges |
A worn out but complete and restorable 403 at Gullwing Motors
I think that both these 403s
are simply stunning. I'd love to think that my 403 could be as nice as
either of them at the end of its restoration...
(Please let me know if
anyone has any objection to the use of these pictures; I found them
Googling but I have no idea if they are protected by copyright. If the
eventual owner of the rights to these pics asks to delete them, I'd remove them immediately)
