IL PELLICANO

Anna and I love 'Il Pellicano', one of the most exclusive resorts of Italy, and we usually travel there for our anniversary, 1st June. The XJ40 did look in its ambience here.....actually, it never looks out of place in elegant surroundings
Our XJ40 looks splendid in the Pellicano's front yard. Both the Jaguar and the hotel are classics, and it's amazing to see how ultra-wealthy patrons of the Pellicano, probably travelling now in huge, tank-like Range Rovers, still stop and admire the XJ's elegant lines
A proper Martini being stirred, not shaken, in Pellicano. The small table and the 'spray' bottle for the vermouth (Noilly Prat, not Martini) reminds me of the splendid Dukes in London, and a mix of Martin Miller's and 'Navy Strength' Plymouth makes an awesome Martini. If you are heading for the Argentario, please don't miss this place
A splendid Club Sandwich and an awesome Martini are the staples of a really great place
Well, Paradise cannot be much better than that
