Saturday 16 June 2018 This time, we decided to make this long(ish) trip with our Jaguar XJR |

The 'Panoramica' highway from Bologna to Firenze is actually the old A1, and it's empty and beautiful today as everybody drives on the slightly shorter, straighter 'Direttissima' |

The Ugolino Golf Club in Via Chiantigiana, Firenze |

A challenging course, but the scenery is incomparable |

We played with Massimo and Elise, two wonderful persons |

The Rolex sign deserves a picture before driving on the n.10 tee |

Pipino's 'Pinguino' is a very tasty ice cream |

Inside joke.... |

Federico mixes a perfect Martini and the olive 'on ice' is a nice touch |

Dusk from the terrace of the restaurant |

A nice dish of 'Crudo' (raw fish) |

The horizon at dusk looks good with a nice glass of Vermentino acting as a magnifying glass |

Large yachts are often moored in front of the Pellicano, confirming that this is one of the most beautiful places on the coast of Argentario |

A nice garage as well, with swallows flying around... |

Start.... |

...and finish (Faenza, Bologna, Villa d'este, Firenze, Forte dei Marmi, Pellicano etc....) |
SUMMARY The Bologna-Firenze-Forte-Sbarcatello and back trip was this time a little big longer than last time, having started from Faenza; something like 410 miles or 670 kilometers (return trip to/from Faenza). Fuel consumption was 13,4 litres/100 km, true to the tradition of horrendous fuel consumption of all the big 'Blower' British machines |
