J.K. Place is one of those serendipitous places where, when you check in, you immediately feel better. It's the attitude of everybody there that makes the difference from other splendid but more anonymous places; J.K. is, all around the world, the epytome of a 'home away from home'. Something Anna and I would usually say only of Villa d'Este and Pellicano, but J.K. Capri is close to be included in our very demanding list
 

My usual request for a very dry Martini was met with by the maitre and bartender with a corteous approval, followed by a list of gins available to be put in the freezer. I chose a classic, my beloved 'No.3'. At 7 p.m. it was ready, very cold and served in a peculiar stem glass. An excellent Martini, its only fault being that it was quite small...!
