Pasini Express Martini: the truly Great 'Navy Strenght' gins

You can make a 'Pasini Express MkIII' with several gins, the recipe being more a spiritual link than a fixed prescription, but the starting point is invariably a high-grade gin of the 'Navy Strength' family. My favourite today (May 2018) are Hayman's 'Royal Dock', Plymouth's 'Navy Strength' and Cannonball's 'Navy Strength' whilst the magnificent 'Star of Bombay', though comparatively light in this context (it's only 47,5%) is approved because of its wonderful flavour and full body.

The 'Pasini Express MkIII' will be made mixing one third of one of these magnificently powerful gins with two thirds of a 'normal strength' traditional gin (Tanqueray, Gordon's, Bombay etc) and a single drop of Martini Extra dry or Carpano Vermouth on a block of ice, mixing it all and serving the mix very cold, in a traditional tall stem glass with an olive but NO lemon. Here! That's it....
