AUDI A4 ALLROAD (2010)

I was so impressed by my 2 A2s quality and driving pleasure that I decided to take a look at another car that I have always liked a lot, the A4 Allroad. I found this 2010 one-owner example in Bologna in a general good shape and I bought it.
The two images were taken with a Nikon J5 in standard mode, the first one is stock and the second has been photoshopped to correct the blue dominant in the untreated pic. It's amazing how winter light makes the first pic look 'cold' whilst it's not processed; the second one is artificially warmed up but still doesn't look good...

The Allroad has been fully serviced and fitted with 4 new Pirelli snow tires

A2 meets A4 for the first time...

The communication system of the A4, and the quality of its man-machine interface, is vastly better than those offered by contemporary rivals from Munich or Stuttgart

Oil consumption

Oil consumption has been an issue of the 2009-2011 FTSI engines, and mine seems to have the same drinking problem. At 151102 kms when I took delivery of the A4 the oil was full, but 1400 kms later the yellow warning light appeared, advising to put max 1 kg of oil in the engine

I did put the oil in the engine so the indicator showed max capacity (top right) at 152551 kms. I did a Faenza-Bologna-Firenze-Forte dei Marmi-Firenze- Bologna trip (500 kms) and at the end the level was like this (bottom right). Not fully reassuring
