Trattoria Battibecco
One of the best restaurants in Bologna is tucked is a small alley, Vicolo Battibecco, just around the corner from Piazza Maggiore, and it's unpretentiously named 'Trattoria'. Don't let this understatement deter you: Chef Nico is one of the best in Bologna, with a great reputation for fish dishes and his lovely daughter Erica manages the service in a flawless way. The ambience is refined, subdued in a modern way without surrendering to 'New Age' fads. They also will make you an exquisite, very dry, extremely cold Martini and, on request, the 'Pasini Express'. This is the right way to spend some minutes while studying the menu, trying to decide what you will have for dinner. Our favourite 'Spaghetti alla bottarga di muggine e crudita’ di tonno' will please any gourmet, I'm sure. Reservation is mandatory!
