The hard-top is still dirty since the flood. A specialist is now cleaning it
The only telltale sign of the flood in my 996 is now the grey residual in the headlamps. It is in a position where you simply can't get and I decided to keep the original lamps for three reasons.   1- Preserving original parts whenever possible has always been my way to go; 2- the original Litronic headlamps are no more available as original spares from Porsche AG; 3- if they were, they would be hideously expensive. The cleaned lamps work perfectly... that's good enough for now
