The Blaupunkt Stockholm M230 DAB is a fairly good set if you ignore the useless DAB+ tuner (the DAB+ broadcasts are a mess and really scarce both in power, diffusion and quality of the musical program). It is anyway a fairly good tuner, the USB input is useful and the Bluetooth connection allows a very safe use of the telephone. The red of the buttons is almost the same as the red of the A2's controls |

I can say that I chose EK606PS for three reasons: the gasoline AUA engine, the extremely rare 'Pinengruen' color and the 'Panoramadach'. It works beautifully and it's a joy to use in a sunny day in Forte dei Marmi. You understand, however, why it is so rare when you see how much it did cost when new. The view (below) of the roof mechanism explains why it was so expensive: all aluminum and quite complicated too |

The tires are fairly good Dunlops but we'll have to change them: I'll probably fit Continentals |

Though EK606PS is almost perfect now, there still are details that must be put right. The light switch (Lichtschalter) is the worst component now. I'll try to renew it |

I also had the bad luck to buy the wrong Audi Concert radio. It works perfectly but it's too wide, being the 24 cm version for the A3/A4; the correct version for the A2 is 22 cm wide. OK, I need also a cupholder that would stay closed by itself. Back on eBay.de.... |

A 'new' radio.... (9 May 2018) |

This nearly spotless 'Chorus' radio/cassette is the original equipment on the 2002 A2 so it fits perfectly and blends in the dashboard as it was designed to do. It works very well though RDS has to be tested |
