24 July 2019: is the 1.6 FSI a lemon? Or simply a sophisticated little car with intricate but delicate innards?
 

The dreaded yellow engine light is always on, even after the installation of new parts including a brand new and very expensive throttle body

The source of most troubles in my FSI is the intake manifold vacuum actuator's broken arm (it's plastic...). The A2 1,6 FSI has variable-length intakes, like my Porsche 911

24 July: Marco Gordini succeeded in separating the intake manifold from the engine block . Maybe we are beginning to see some faint light at the end of this long dark tunnel...
